A Tiger in the Mist....like a DREAM!

It was a perfect January morning and the dense fog coupled with the chilly weather meant that the morning Safari was going to be a challenging one. Challenging due to a couple of reasons. The extremely poor visibility that made Animal sighting, an arduous task and the freezing temperatures which meant we had to be on top of our focus to not miss any rare opportunity that Mother Nature presented us. Just about an hour into the drive, we heard a Sambar alarm call and judging by its direction, assumed that a predator was around. As we turned around to investigate the area around this call, a large hazy figure appeared at about a distance of about 20 meters. It was young Tigress, about 2.5 years old walking along the vehicle track marking here territory. Although young, she looked way bigger considering her age and all of us were extremely jubilant that we were gifted with such a wonderful Tiger sighting. Pardon the quality of the image as it was made in poor light conditions with deficient visibility and although the Tigress wasn’t too far off, clicking it was a real challenge. The white fog, damp conditions and walking out of it a young Tigress....it was like a DREAM!!! She is the famous P141 Tigress, the daughter of T1 Tigress that was relocated to Panna from Bandhavgadh. A moment of a lifetime!!

To witness this Tigress in dense fog was a dream come true.
